KNITWEAR CARE

Wool does not need to be washed frequently - it naturally resists moisture, odour and bacteria.

To refresh your scarf, hang up to air or lightly steam by hovering an iron on the reverse side.

Dry cleaning is the recommended method of cleaning to preserve shape and texture.

Alternatively carefully hand wash following these instructions:

  • Use cool water and a little wool wash liquid.
  • Do not agitate or use hot water, as this could cause items to shrink.
  • Rinse in cold water.
  • Roll up in a towel to gently squeeze out excess moisture. Do not wring.
  • Re-shape whilst damp.
  • Dry flat away from direct heat or sunlight.
  • Once dry, use a steam iron with gentle heat on the reverse side, avoiding too much contact with the fabric.
  • Please do not machine wash or tumble dry.

Pilling: Knitwear gathers little bobbles over time –  this is a naturally occurring property of wool. Carefully use a de-pilling machine or cashmere comb to smooth out and re-new.

Moths: Sadly moths are a fact of life and impossible to totally avoid. It’s best to store your knitwear in a sealed bag or box. Natural deterrents such as lavender sachets and cedar can help.
